Anduril IPO: When will the ‘next Palantir’ go public as valuation jumps?

With many richly valued companies going public, a common question among investors is when the Anduril IPO will happen as its valuation in the private market jump.

What is Anduril, and is it the next Palantir?

Anduril is a company that aims to be the biggest player in the defense industry by incorporating artificial intelligence and industrial technologies.

Its platform is powered by the Lattie OS, an operating system that integrates data from various sources to provide real-time 3D command capabilities.

The company then offers various autonomous systems that can be deployed in war zones for combat and spy work. In addition to aeril vehicles, Anduril has also built the Dive-LD, an autonomous underground system.

Its performance has led to comparison with Palantir, a company whose stock has surged, bringing its valuation to over $372 billion. Palantir has benefited from robust government and corporate contracts and its position in the artificial intelligence space.

Anduril has received numerous contracts in the past few years, which is notable for a company that has been in business for less than ten years. For example, it received a ten-year contract by the US Special Operations Command worth $967 million.

Most recently, it received a $642 million order by the US Navy for its small unmanned aircraft systems. The company has received more orders, including a $250 million one for its Roadrunner product and another $178 million in collaboration with Palantir.

When will the Anduril IPO happen?

Anduril is one of the most funded companies in the United States. It raised  $17.6 million in its seed fund in 2017 followed by $41 million a year later.

It biggest fundraising came this year when it raised $2.5 billion from Founders Fund. Before that, it raised $1.12 billion in 2024 from Altimeter, Bailie Gifford, Founders Fund, and Fidelity.

Altogether, the company has raised over $6 billion. According to Forge Global, its valuation now exceeds $30 billion.

The Anduril stock price has jumped from $17 in 2023 to $40 today in the private market, a trend that will continue as its business grows.

Its valuation is notable as it may soon pass some of the top players in the military industrial complex. It is already bigger than companies like Textron, AeroVironment, Huntington Ingalls, and Woodward.

Anduril has maintained that it will go public in the next few years but has not revealed the date. That IPO, when it happens, will do well because of its growth and comparisons with Palantir.

Also, the company has demonstrated strong growth, with its revenue rising by almost 100% in 2024 to $1 billion. By the time, it will likely have continued to narrow its losses, which may help to boost its stock.

The odds of the Anduril going public have risen after the recent surge of companies like Circle, Bullish, and the upcoming one by Klarna.
